Romani Bros., a small but mighty ad agency run by partners Bernie Pitzel and Denny Hebson since 2003, was acquired by Schafer Condon Carter, a privately held, independent mid-sized local agency.
Pitzel and Hebson become creative directors, along with SCC’s CDs Suzanne Martineau and Ron Sone. Romani art director Christen Young also moved to SCC.
The acquisition comes as SCC enters its 20th year of consecutive growth as a integrated agency.

Schafer Condon Carter’s (SCC) officially launched its “ala carte content creation studio,” MAKE247, offering video, animation, motion graphics and photography to brands that seek specialized multi-platform, social media content.
“The explosive need for brand content is here to stay and we have an incredible amount of talent and resources that have been doing killer work for our AOR clients,” says SCC co-founder Tim Condon.
A memorial service was held Monday for Mark Schafer, co-founder and chairman emeritus of Schafer Condon Carter, who died Thursday of a heart attack at age 58
Mr. Schafer had retired from the agency in 2014 and he and his wife, Katie, had purchased a farm near Mauston, Wisconsin, where they were living at the time of his death.
Mr. Schafer was called by the agency “An exceptional advertising and marketing leader, he was also a kind, calm and rock-solid individual who inspired colleagues and clients alike.”
