Schafer Condon Carter has taken home a 2024 Regional Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Public Service Announcement (PSA). The award recognizes the agency’s powerful campaign, Humanly – Doing Everything Humanly Possible, created for the nonprofit organization Humanly, which aims to revolutionize support for people experiencing homelessness.

Launched on World Homeless Day in 2023, Humanly utilizes an innovative online crowdfunding model to direct donations to accredited social service organizations in Chicago. These organizations’ caseworkers then allocate the funds where they are needed most, providing flexible and community-driven aid to those at risk of or experiencing displacement.

The Emmy-winning PSA captures the heart of Humanly’s mission, emphasizing shared responsibility and the transformative power of collective action. Watch below:

“We’re honored to receive this Emmy Award for a campaign that holds immense significance for our team,” said SCC CEO and President Ben Behrman. “Humanly is dedicated to creating lasting change in Chicago, and this recognition underscores the importance of innovative approaches to tackling homelessness.”

Craig Miller, SCC’s Chief Creative Officer, highlighted the campaign’s emotional resonance. “With Humanly, we set out to spark more than awareness—we wanted to ignite a sense of shared responsibility within our community. This Emmy Award reflects the power of storytelling to inspire both empathy and real action,” said Miller. “Our collaboration with Humanly™ demonstrates how creativity can amplify vital missions and drive tangible impact.”

This Emmy win reinforces SCC’s commitment to crafting campaigns that go beyond marketing to foster meaningful change. The agency has a history of producing work that drives impact, and this recognition serves as a testament to the effectiveness of its purpose-driven storytelling.
