SCC reveals new Old National Bank spot on Super Bowl Sunday

Chicago-based independent creative agency Schafer Condon Carter (SCC) has announced the debut of its latest work for Old National Bank, scheduled to premiere on CBS just before the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 11.

The new TV spot, titled “Brace Yourself,” capitalizes on Old National Bank’s status as the Official Bank of the Big Ten and its NIL deal with University of Wisconsin hockey player Owen Lindmark. As an extension of Old National Bank’s well-received “Get Old” campaign, the new ad aims to drive enrollment in checking accounts.

Owen Lindmark’s involvement in Old National Bank’s new ad serves as a tribute to his outstanding performance as a Big Ten Conference student-athlete. Hailing from the Chicago suburb of Naperville, Lindmark’s ties to Chicago – one of Old National Bank’s key markets – lend authenticity and resonance to the “Brace Yourself” message.

The spot is set to launch during the Super Bowl pregame show in Chicago and Minneapolis. Following its initial release, it will also be broadcast in Milwaukee and Indianapolis to promote the bank’s latest offer: a $450 cash bonus for customers who open a Preferred or Everyday checking account. The campaign is slated to run until May 31, 2024, or until the checking promotion concludes.

SCC has been honored as Ad Age Small Agency of the Year (Midwest, Gold/Silver) three times and recently clinched two Chicago/Midwest Regional Emmy® Awards.

Super Bowl LVIII will be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, February 11, 2024. It will be broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon. Usher will perform at halftime.
