Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med renewed for 2024-25

One Chicago will continue to dominate Wednesday nights as NBC has renewed all three shows for the 2024-25 season.

NBC announced that the One Chicago series ranks among the top 10 primetime entertainment shows this season, up double and triple-digits vs. the prior season.

Chicago Fire is averaging 12.6 million viewers, Chicago P.D. is averaging 12.0 million viewers, Chicago Med is averaging 10.5 million viewers

In the midweek lineup, Chicago Fire blazes ahead into its impressive 12th season, a testament to its enduring popularity. We never get tired of following our team of brave firefighters and paramedics at Firehouse 51 as they courageously tackle life-threatening situations. This year has seen its share of upheaval, with long-time star Kara Killmer bidding farewell to the series, at least for now. However, fans can also anticipate some exciting reunions as Taylor Kinney‘s Kelly Severide returns to action. Overall, Season 12 promises to deliver more heart-pounding action, poignant moments, and uplifting triumphs from Chicago’s fearless and resilient heroes.

In its 11th season, Chicago P.D. continues its strong run, trailing closely behind Chicago Fire as one of the longest-running series in the franchise. True to its name, the series provides an inside look at the daily efforts of Chicago’s police department in maintaining peace throughout the city. Not unlike its counterparts, Chicago P.D. will bid a fond farewell to one of its beloved characters as Tracy Spiridakos exits her role as Detective Hailey Upton. However, bringing a sense of anticipation and excitement, we look forward to Amy Morton reprising her role as Trudy Platt, with the showrunner hinting at what’s to come in the upcoming episode.

Chicago Med is currently in its ninth season, maintaining its focus on the intense and high-stress situations faced by the city’s top doctors on a daily basis at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. This season, viewers can expect to see some fresh faces joining the team at Gaffney, including Sophia Ali from Grey’s Anatomy and Luke Mitchell from Big Sky.

One Chicago returned this week after the mid season break and will continue in what will be a shortened season due to the double strike last year. The current season is still filming in Chicago and we can now relax knowing that following their summer break, we can look forward to another full season for all three shows in the fall.
