It seems there is a new doctor in town on Chicago Med this fall with the casting of television veteran Michael Rady in a new role for the show’s upcoming Season 7.
As revealed by cast member Steven Weber on Instagram, Rady will be joining the cast of Chicago Med. We have received a confirmation on that news. Michael Rady will be added to the cast in a recurring guest role.
The photo with Steven Weber comfortably wedged between Nick Gehlfuss and Michael Rady is from the set of the show, all wearing the maroon scrubs associated with Gaffney Chicago Medical Center’s Emergency Department.
#actuallystevenweber wrote in the caption of his Chicago Med set photo “The doctors are IN.”
This is not Rady’s first role in scrubs. He appeared as a regular in the cast of the short lived 2012 TV Series Emily Owens M.D. in the role of surgeon, Dr. Micah Barnes.
Although not considered a series regular cast member, Rady is the third addition to the cast of Chicago Med this season. See story below for details on the Season 7 addition of Dr. Dylan Scott (Guy Lockard) and Dr. Stevie Hammer (Kristen Hager) as cast regulars. This addition comes as Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Nurse April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) have departured from the series after six seasons.
