Chicago Med announces new cast changes for Season 7

Chicago Med

After the shocking departures of Yaya DaCosta and Torrey DeVitto near the end of Season 6 of Chicago Med, we all knew that those empty positions would need to be filled before filming begins.

Chicago Med new cast openings have been filled by Guy Lockard (The Village and The Blacklist) and Kristen Hager (Condor and The Expanse), who have both landed series regular roles on Chicago Med, returning for Season 7 this fall.

Steven Weber has been upped to series regular. The wry, blunt, talented, and somewhat abrasive Dean Archer is here to stay for at least the next season after he was quickly promoted to interim chief of the Emergency Department on at Chicago Med after his old military buddy Choi was shot in the season finale. Weber is probably most well known for his role as Brian Michael Hackett alongside the likes of Tim Dalay, Tony Shalhoub, and Thomas Haden Church on the 90’s hit TV show Wings. He has also maintained a successful television career appearing on shows such as Will & Grace, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Brothers & Sisters, 2 Broke Girls, and IZombie, plus many more.

Guy Lockard will portray Dr. Dylan Scott, who left a career as a Chicago police officer to become a doctor. Whether the doctor has any connections to characters in Chicago P.D. is as yet to be seen. Guy Lockard has appeared in many series including Chicago Fire, however he will be playing a completely different character on Chicago Med as he did on Chicago Fire. His appearances include Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts, FBI, Kevin Can Wait, and Blue Bloods, just to name a few.

Kristen Hager plays Dr. Stevie Hammer, a brilliant and scrappy emergency room attending physician. Hager is most known for Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007), Wanted (2008) and I’m Not There (2007).
