Lakefront Pictures ‘The Unseen’ is set to premiere in Chicago on June 30

The Chicago-made suspense, horror feature The Unseen from Lakefront Pictures is set to premiere in LA, Chicago, NYC, and on Apple TV and on demand on June 30.

Jennifer A. Goodman (Conrad), neurodiverse writer, producer, actress, and co-founder of Lakefront Pictures, brought her script to life with a 50+ person crew along with Lakefront co-founder/Director of Photography, Ryan Atkins.

Gravitas Ventures is set for domestic distribution and The Coven has acquired international sales rights.

Directed by Vincent Shade (The Letter), The Unseen stars RJ Mitte (Breaking Bad), Rebekah Kennedy (Law & Order and Criminal Minds), Christian Stolte (Chicago Fire) and Jennifer A Goodman (Conrad).

The film follows a recent law school grad (Mitte) who is eager to get out from under the shadow of his abusive alcoholic father (William Mark McCullough). Hired by a small firm, he is given a cold case involving a teen girl who was bullied to death ten years before. The deeper he gets into the details of this horrific case, the more he is haunted by demons from his own past.

“It’s a mix of a drama and horror thriller with that perfect mix of suspense and intrigue,” said Goodman who wrote, produced, and starred in the film.

The Unseen was filmed entirely in the Chicago area. The crew worked alongside the local fire and police departments of Homer Glen and Highland Park, locking down streets for high production value scenes.  Goodman was able to secure production space at a law firm location in downtown Chicago.

The film will be released on June 30 in select theaters in LA, Chicago and NYC, Apple TV and VOD.
