‘Chicago Med’ cast & crew return from quarantine

The cast and crew of Chicago Med are back on set at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios after a two week quarantine period.

The NBC series has had more than its share of delays from the Covid-19 virus. The onset of the coronavirus in March, halted production on Chicago Med before they were able to complete filming Season 5.

After just one week into production on Season 6, the first of Dick Wolf’s One Chicago series to begin filming for the new season hit the pause button again when a crew member tested positive for Covid-19.

We welcome back the Chicago Med cast and crew and officially welcome in Season 6 which is scheduled to premiere on November 11th.

Of course the obvious question is will Chicago Med address Covid-19 in the storyline this season?

One Chicago Center reports that producer, Dick Wolf has revealed a bit of what is coming in Season 6. “There will be a COVID unit in the hospital,” Wolf said, adding, “incoming patients will be tested by paramedics.” Without revealing who, Wolf said, “one character will be recovering from the disease.”

Wolf concluded that, “[COVID-19] will be part of daily life, and adjustments will be made.”
