When The Bear began production on Season 1, it was intended to be a limited series, with an expectation of 1 or 2 seasons. No one could have predicted the explosive success of the series.
We have confirmed through a number of sources, that FX/Hulu wants a fourth season, but The Bear creator / showrunner, Christopher Storer only committed to three seasons and needs to move on to a long list of projects.
The Bear is now filming Season 3 and Storer has agreed to the additional episodes, only if they film them back to back with Season 3. Some say they are additional episodes for Season 3, and others have referred to these as episodes for Season 4. However all have said, even though there has been no official announcement, that these additional episodes will take us to the end of the series.
The Bear Season 3 will premiere this June on FX/Hulu. Following the release pattern for the series, Season 4 would likely premiere in June of 2025.
This story will have updates.

The Bear History
Synopsis: A young chef from the fine dining world comes home to Chicago to run his family sandwich shop after a heartbreaking death in his family. A world away from what he’s used to, Carmy must balance the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, his strong-willed and recalcitrant kitchen staff and his strained familial relationships, all while grappling with the impact of his brother’s suicide. As Carmy fights to transform both the shop and himself, he works alongside a rough-around-the-edges kitchen crew that ultimately reveals itself as his chosen family.
While The Bear is not based on a true story, it draws significant inspiration from key events in the life of co-creator Christopher Storer. Storer grew up in the Chicago suburb of Park Ridge with his best friend Chris Zucchero, whose father founded Chicago’s renowned Mr. Beef. Storer’s time spent with his friend at what they referred to as the elegant dining room of Mr. Beef served as a major influence for the sandwich shop and provided the exterior location in Season 1 of The Bear.

The success of the series brought several surprise guest stars in Season 2, with more expected in the remaining episodes. Many celebrities are reaching out to The Bear requesting a guest role in the series.
