The 9th annual 3% Conference goes virtual Monday

The 3% Movement will host a digital conference themed “The Radically Inclusive Future of Work” for their 9th annual event, July 27-29, where attendees are invited to reimagine work from the comfort of their own homes.

Between a global pandemic and racial unrest in our country, this moment in history is serving as the ultimate culture accelerant to co-create a world where:

  • Leaders and workplaces are emphatically anti-racist
  • Support for Black employees (and people) transcends a hashtag
  • Creativity from, by and for women, non-binary people, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities is integral
  • Multigenerational is the new normal
  • Wellness is about purpose, not perks
  • Leadership EQ trumps IQ

“Once the 3% team realized we couldn’t deliver our event in October in Atlanta as planned, we decided to use the flexibility of a virtual format to fast-track delivery of the content,” says Kat Gordon, 3% Founder. “We know that important Return to Work decisions are being made right now and we want to ensure that leaders are centering inclusion and anti-racist policies in those choices. We also were able to deliver at a price-point for newfound economic accessibility and to enable text reader and closed captioning to bring even more people into our crusade.”

Themed “The Radically Inclusive Future of Work,” this year’s business conference will address four key pillars: agile work environments, wellness, conscious leadership and multigenerational workforces.

Featured speakers include: Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Dr. Marc Brackett, Jill Frank, Ann Lewnes, Lily Zheng, Jason Rosario, Cindy Gallop, Jess Bennett, Shanteka Sigers, Delana Brand, Kofi Amoo-Gottfried, Cindy Augustine, Susan Lee and many others.

The conference begins on Monday, July 27 and attendees will be able to access content daily at their convenience throughout the conference. Attendees can build their schedules to attend live and interactive networking sessions over the three-day event. Beyond the conference, attendees will be able to access the content through the rest of the year.

Adobe, the first corporate brand certified by The 3% Movement, is this year’s presenting sponsor and will be underwriting student-focused programming and tickets for all student attendees, as well as young professionals who are in that in-between stage of having graduated from college but are not yet employed.

This year attendees can also download a newly revamped 100 Things Microactions list from 3%. This list of doable doses has been rewritten to specifically address anti-racist workplaces.

Since 2012, The 3% Movement has contributed to an increase in women in creative leadership through initiatives like its annual conference, culture consulting, 3% Certification, Pledge for Pay Equity, 100Things Microactions, Elephant on Madison Avenue research and other proprietary research. 3% is largely credited with helping raise the number of women creative directors from 3% to 29% in seven short years.
