Celebrated star from the iconic Superman movie series, Sarah Douglas, known for her portrayal as the Kryptonian supervillain Ursa, will be at the Emagine Batavia Theatre for two-days hosting special events on October 11-12, 2024.
The weekend events will include a showing of Superman II on Illinois’ largest movie screen, the Super EMX, along with a Q&A with Sarah Douglas, a special edition poster, and a live auction taking place prior to the film which will feature exclusive collective items including a rare, signed Christopher Reeve autograph and a limited-edition Caped Wonder coffee table book.
In addition, on Saturday, October 12, guests will be able to attend a Meet & Greet Autograph Signing and Photo event at Emagine Batavia with Sarah Douglas. Portion of proceeds will benefit Batavia United Way.

Emagine Entertainment has partnered once again with Batavia United Way and will be donating a portion of proceeds to support their causes. Batavia United Way provides funds to local agencies that combat health-related issues, for senior citizen programs, for educational and social programs for youth, and financial security for low-income families.

*Q&A with Sarah Douglas, Anthony LaVerde (CEO of Emagine Entertainment) and Jay Towers (The Caped Wonder Superman Podcast).Douglas will share her experiences and insights from her time working on these legendary films. Following the Q&A session will be the showing of Superman II starting approximately at 8:15 p.m.

This event comes as Emagine Batavia celebrates their first anniversary. Sarah Douglas is best known for her iconic role as the Kryptonian supervillain Ursa in Superman (1978) and Superman II (1980). This defining role launched her from Stratford-upon-Avon to Hollywood, where she starred in major films like Conan the Destroyer (1984) and Return of Swamp Thing (1989). On television, she became a household name as Pamela Lynch in Falcon Crest and appeared in popular series such as V: The Final Battle, Stargate SG-1, and Babylon 5.
