Sgar Shah heads DDB’s new project management service

Sagar Shah, in charge of DDB’s Project Management service

DDB/Chicago is adding a new function to its lineup of services:  Project management.  This week the agency said it has brought on board Sagar Shah, an alum of Crispin Porter + Bogusky, to head up this new department.

According to a DDB spokeswoman, Shah will be “in service of (the) agency’s thought leadership and creative product, while creating efficiencies along the way.”

That word “efficiencies,” of course, has in recent years sent chills down the spines of many an ad person.  It is one of those words that suggests the bottom line is now always a serious consideration at most ad agencies, where once upon a time creativity was the guiding force.

Whatever is the case with this new service at DDB, the agency’s recently-arrived president and CEO Peter McGuiness clearly believes Shah and what he brings to the agency will help things along tremendously.

“Project management is a service that will liberate our account management teams to be more leadership oriented with our clients and allow our creative folks to ideate more so we all can be more effective,” said McGuiness.
