In a bold move that redefines game-day experiences, Pop-Tarts has announced the introduction of college football’s first-ever Edible Mascot. The winning team of the upcoming Pop-Tarts Bowl will not only secure bragging rights and a Championship Trophy but also have the unique privilege of taking the first bite of the Edible Mascot.

The Edible Mascot, a manifestation of the brand’s new Creative Direction featuring the “Agents of Crazy Good,” will not only run around the stadium interacting with fans but, when the game concludes, transform into a game-winning snack for the victorious team. This move aligns with Pop-Tarts’ commitment to challenge expectations and deliver Crazy Good moments.

Heidi Ray, Senior Director of Marketing at Pop-Tarts, stated, “For sixty years, Pop-Tarts has sacrificed everything in the name of Crazy Good flavor, so why wouldn’t that include our beloved Football Mascot, too? Since we announced our title sponsorship of the Pop-Tarts Bowl, fans have been speculating on the larger-than-life game day experiences we will be tackling, and this is the first of many traditions that fans can expect Pop-Tarts to upend on game day.”

The 2023 game is set to air live on ESPN on December 28 at 5:45 p.m. ET. The post-season showdown will feature representatives from the Atlantic Coast and Big 12 conferences at Camping World Stadium in Orlando.

Fans can anticipate additional Crazy Good moments during the Bowl, with surprises in concessions, Fan Fest, and entertainment both on and off the field.
