Leading independent agency, OKRP is on a winning streak, as Michaels, the largest specialty retailer of arts, crafts, and home décor in North America, has named OKRP, as its new agency of record following a review.
Michaels, which operates 1,290 stores in the United States and Canada, is the destination where all creatives get inspired, learn, shop and create. OKRP was chosen to create a fully integrated brand and marketing refresh that includes design, visual identity and advertising.
The agency will also integrate Michaels intensive promotional marketing initiatives in its strategic and creative approach for the brand. The partnership will target an expanded customer base, reaching beyond traditional crafters to help customers across a wide range of creative pursuits.

Michaels noted that the agency’s recent work demonstrated insight into how to help retail brands succeed and grow with new consumer audiences. New work from OKRP is expected to launch in August, coinciding with fall and Halloween.
