Love McDonald’s? Love bagels? Get your celebration on! The beloved fast-food chain is set to bring back its breakfast bagels to all 14,300 outlets across the United States later this year.
According to a report by The Daily Mail, this popular menu item has already made a triumphant return in several states, including California, Pennsylvania, Nashville, Louisiana, Florida, Tennessee, Iowa, West Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, Alabama, and New York.
Originally introduced to the menu in late 2019, McDonald’s breakfast bagels unfortunately met an untimely end with their discontinuation during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Available in four mouthwatering varieties, customers can choose from the Bacon, Egg & Cheese Bagel, Sausage, Egg & Cheese Bagel, Steak, Egg & Cheese Bagel featuring grilled onions, or for vegetarian options, the Egg & Cheese bagel.

In a statement, McDonald’s expressed their commitment to meeting their customers’ cravings and incorporating their feedback into menu decisions. While the bagel sandwiches are currently not available nationwide, they are being offered as a regional offering in select markets.
“Our fans’ love for McDonald’s breakfast runs deep, and we love to see the passion they have for some of their favorite menu items. We’re always listening to their cravings and taking their feedback into account as we make menu decisions. Though bagel sandwiches are not available nationwide, they are a regional offering and currently available at participating McDonald’s in several markets.”
This exciting news comes on the heels of another recent announcement from McDonald’s, revealing a partnership with Krispy Kreme to make their renowned doughnuts available nationwide by the end of 2026.
Josh Charlesworth, President and CEO of Krispy Kreme, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “The top request we receive from consumers, every day, is, ‘please bring Krispy Kreme to my town.’ Partnering with McDonald’s on a national scale will provide our fans and doughnut lovers unprecedented daily access to fresh doughnuts and the joy that is Krispy Kreme,” as reported by TODAY.com.
