The Chicago Med cast and crew recently wrapped up filming for the current season, with Season 9 set to conclude this May on NBC. As the season heads towards its dramatic finale, fans can also look forward to Season 10 of the medical drama, which has already been ordered and is slated to premiere in the fall.
The hiatus between the final episodes of Chicago Med, along with its fellow One Chicago shows Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D., will extend into late spring, building anticipation for what promises to be an exciting night of season finales in May.
To mark the completion of filming, the Chicago Med team gathered for a wrap party, with newcomer Luke Mitchell, who portrays Dr. Mitch Ripley on the show, sharing some glimpses into the celebratory event on his Instagram.
Mitchell shared a photo of his character Dr. Mitch Ripley on Instagram, captioning it, “That’s a S9 wrap on Ripley!! Feeling lots of things. Gratitude, mostly. Love these people. #ChicagoMed.”
The actor also posted snapshots on his Instagram Stories, capturing the lively atmosphere of the wrap party. One image shows the “wrap party vibes” with black and white photos from the set, including a shot of Luke being filmed.

Another surprise photo revealed Brian Tee, known for his role as Dr. Ethan Choi, returning to direct an episode. Tee, who was previously part of the Chicago Med cast, is back behind the camera for the medical drama.

The festivities continued with a glimpse of a striking Chicago Med-themed cake from the party. The cake featured a detailed rendition, with a hint of a helicopter – a nod to the dramatic events often seen on the show.
