Laughlin Constable, a full-service, independent creative agency, announced that it has been recognized as one of Crain’s Chicago’s “Best Places to Work” in 2021.
“This past year has been challenging for everyone in many ways and for us to be recognized as a top place to work at a time when everyone was home, reflects incredibly on our commitment to putting our people first,” said Mat Lignel, president and CEO of Laughlin Constable. “Throughout the pandemic, we’ve worked hard to continue building our company culture. In spite of all challenges, we did our best to provide all our employees with a sense of place and help them feel valued and inspired.”
Laughlin Constable introduced creative ways to invigorate company culture even with most employees working from home, including virtual game shows, digital bake-offs, surprise home deliveries, regular townhall Zoom meetings and more.
“We’re thrilled to once again be recognized as a top place to work in Chicago, this year especially,” said Heather Batchelor, executive vice president of human resources at Laughlin Constable. “Through our 45 years of business, we know that the more time, energy and resources we spend developing our employees, the better we can ultimately serve our clients.”
In partnership with Best Companies Group, Crain’s surveyed thousands of employees on the types of working conditions, benefits and corporate culture that make a company a great place to work. The awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the 100 best companies to work for in the Chicago area. Determining the Best Places to Work in Chicago involved a two-step process. The first step consisted of evaluating each participating company’s workplace policies, practices and demographics. The second part consisted of employee surveys aimed at assessing workplace benefits such as 401k match, unlimited PTO, telecommuting options, tuition reimbursement and career development programs.
Laughlin Constable was honored as a best place to work in Chicago at the 2021 Best Places to Work in Chicago awards virtual event on April 9.
Congratulations from the Reel staff!
