Laughlin Constable launches Vienna Beef Hot Dog Stand Challenge

Laughlin Constable announced the launch of the Vienna Beef Hot Dog Stand Challenge to assist the legendary Chicago Hot Dog company in its efforts to support its recovering restaurateur vendors as people return to eating out and resuming activities.

This campaign is the first from Laughlin Constable (LC) on behalf of Vienna Beef after winning a competitive selection process.

“We are thrilled to partner with Laughlin Constable on bringing this amazing idea to life and helping pull Chicagoland back on its feet. What resonated so deeply with us in making the decision to hire Laughlin for this important effort for our 128-year-old company and brand was Laughlin’s shared passion and enthusiasm for Vienna Beef,” said Tim O’Brien, president of Vienna Beef. “We hope this challenge delivers some light-hearted fun to our loyal customers, helps drive business to vendors, benefits restaurants and employees, and provides industry support after a challenging year and a half for restaurants.”

The Vienna Beef Hot Dog Stand Challenge, created and activated by LC, asks a very important question, “Who can eat at the most Vienna Beef Hot Dog Stands?” Contest participants will also help support the entire state’s restaurant industry as at the completion of the challenge Vienna Beef will make a donation to the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (IRAEF) Employee Relief Fund.

LC embraced Vienna Beef’s classic tongue-in-cheek, playful voice to create clever campaign branding with media running on radio, out of home, digital and social support, and even some of Chicago’s favorite sports stadiums. The digital experience will allow participants to check in using a QR code every time they visit a Vienna Beef Hot Dog Stand, and to see where they stand on the leaderboard. While multiple prizes will be won, ultimately, the winner will earn bragging rights as the Vienna Beef Top Dog.

“As a proud Midwest agency, we are excited to have the opportunity to work with such a legendary Chicago brand. We wanted to create a campaign for Vienna Beef that is unique to its brand and equal to its iconic status, and taps into the simple joy of eating hot dogs. So, Chicago, get ready for the Vienna Beef Hot Dog Stand Challenge and have some fun!” said Mat Lignel, president and CEO of Laughlin Constable

The Vienna Beef Hot Dog Stand Challenge launches August 19 through October 17, 2021. Participants can view a complete list of participating locations in Illinois, Northwest Indiana and Southeast Wisconsin, and prize details as well as check-in for each VISIT HERE.
