Indie feature ‘Wrong Numbers’ set to film in Chicago

Wrong Numbers, an indie feature is heading into production in Chicago in early May, starring Emily Hall (Lumina) and David Kelsey (Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story).

Wrong Numbers will be Duane Edwards feature directorial debut, after helming several short films. Edwards, who will also be a producer of the project, was one of the Top Ten directors on season 3 Project Greenlight with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in 2005.

The synopsis of Wrong Numbers reads:  “After a disastrous blind date at an upscale Chicago restaurant, Emma (Emily Hall) strikes up a conversation with a married man, Jack (David Kelsey). They stumble into a one-night stand that turns out to be complicated and destructive.”

The script is written by Frederick Mensch, who is best known for writing HBO’s Nightingale, which was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards in 2015, one for Outstanding Television Movie, and one for David Oyelowo, who was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or a Movie.

Emily Hall, who was once one of the most sought after models of the week, who walked for 13 designers in just 4 days and also appeared in several Victoria Secret catalogs, transitioned into acting and has appeared on series such as Leverage: Redemption, S.W.A.T., Animal Kingdom and FBI: Most Wanted, among others. In addition to Wrong Numbers, she is also appearing alongside Eric Roberts in Gino McKoy’s sci-fi horror pic Lumina, which is currently in post production. 

David Kelsey recently appeared in Ryan Murphy’s true crime sensational hit Netflix series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story as attorney Robert Fennig, and has also appeared on series such as The Mentalist, Castle, The Closer, House, The West Wing and 24, just to name a few. In addition to television, Kelsey has appeared in films including Alex Kurtzman’s People Like Us with Chris Pine, Elizabeth Banks and Michelle Pfeiffer, as well as Ron Howard’s Oscar-nominated historical drama Frost/Nixon and Steve Martin’s Cheaper by the Dozen.

Kelsey and Edwards are producing along with Phil Lee, Darryl Manuel, and Heather Sederquist of Big Wheel Entertainment. Aaron Schoonover is overseeing casting.
