
The independent feature film Little Five is scheduled to film in Illinois from mid-August through September 1 following the first leg of production in Indiana.
Principal photography begins July 19 and continues through August 12 in Indiana, with filming centered at Indiana University and locations throughout downtown Bloomington.
Little Five tells the story behind the creation of Indiana University’s first women’s Little 500 bicycle race, an event that became an important milestone in collegiate athletics and women’s sports. Based on a true story, it follows four unlikely young women at Indiana University in the early 1980s who come together to compete in the legendary Little 500 bicycle race, discovering that changing history begins with teamwork.

The film is produced by Bloomington, Indiana based Pigasus Pictures in partnership with Somewhere Pictures, the production company founded by Academy Award winner Anne Hathaway. Ian Samuels directs from a screenplay by Gillian Williams and Paul Shoulberg.
Announced cast members include Rain Spencer (The Summer I Turned Pretty) and Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie), with additional casting expected.
Veteran producer Cary Holt de Lama will serve as line producer.
While production will begin in Indiana, the company is expected to relocate to Illinois for approximately two weeks of filming. Illinois locations have not yet been announced.
