Heinz Ketchup and Lick paint Chicago red

Love ketchup? Love ketchup enough to paint your walls with the tasty color? Heinz and Lick think you will.

Heinz Tomato Ketchup enthusiasts now have the opportunity to bring the iconic red color of their favorite condiment into their homes. The Chicago-based brand, in partnership with home decor site Lick, has introduced “Red HTK 57,” a limited-edition paint color inspired by the beloved ketchup.

Homeowners and design enthusiasts can choose from one of 570 tins of this unique matte paint, available exclusively on Lick’s website. The initiative was executed in collaboration with Wonderland, The Kitchen, and Hope & Glory.

Thiago Rapp, Head of Communications and Brand Build at Heinz, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “We love a unique collaboration and are delighted to be unveiling the limited-edition Red HTK 57 paint. We hope our Heinz Ketchup fans will love this as much as they love our sauce and have some fun adding this iconic color to their homes.”

This creative endeavor follows Heinz’s global brand platform launch, “It has to be Heinz,” which was created by Wieden+Kennedy, New York and celebrates the deep emotional connection people have with the brand. From getting Heinz tattoos to sneaking the sauce into upscale restaurants, the campaign showcased the irrational love for Heinz products.

The introduction of the Red HTK 57 paint demonstrates how some Heinz superfans might want to incorporate the brand’s iconic color into their living spaces. Tash Bradley, Director of Interior Design and Color Psychologist at Lick, noted that Red HTK 57 is designed to stimulate appetites and encourage social interactions, making it an ideal choice for kitchens and dining rooms, where Heinz ketchup bottles are often found.

Ketchup enthusiasts and home decor aficionados looking to infuse their living spaces with the vibrancy of Heinz Tomato Ketchup should act swiftly, as only a limited quantity of Red HTK 57 paint tins are available for purchase on Lick.com.

Get painting. Just don’t lick your walls.
