Full Spectrum Features announces Unbound Sound expanded cinema

Full Spectrum Features (FSF) announces Unbound Sound, an expanded cinema event co-presented with Comfort Station Logan Square and in partnership with the Chicago Underground Film Festival.

Supported by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE), Unbound Sound builds on the well-loved tradition of presenting movies with the accompaniment of live music. Updating this format, this event presents four curated sets of Chicago-based visual media artist and musician pairings.

Each artist pairing will perform a one-hour set, some presenting premade collaborations while others improvise on-site. The event’s theme is Radical Futures with the intent to inspire audiences to imagine a future that we can build and aspire to together.

This program will be held outdoors on the lawn of Comfort Station, utilizing a creative array of projection screens. Given the limited space, they will utilize an RSVP system, but the event will run from 6-10pm, ensuring that no one will be turned away due to limited capacity.

This is a program curated by Raul Benitez, Jordan Martins, Jill Perez, and Bryan Wendorf. Like all programs from Full Spectrum Features, the creators featured in Unbound Sound represent a diverse group of artists and voices.

The event will be hosted outdoors at Comfort Station on October 23, 2021 from 6-10pm.
