The 10th season of Chicago Fire has officially begun and what better location to film on the first day than Engine Company No. 51.
It was a beautiful summer day in Chicago, 73° and partly sunny when Engine 51 pulled out of the station house yesterday morning. The cast looked relaxed and refreshed and the crew were hustling about, making it all look easy.
The Chicago Fire, the first installment to the Dick Wolf, One Chicago franchise follows the lives of the firefighters and paramedics working at the Chicago Fire Department firehouse of Engine 51, Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61 & Battalion 25. The team face life or death decisions every day but look to each other like family, making sure to look out for each other, no matter what happens.
The Season 10 premiere should provide resolution one of the most shocking and suspenseful season finale cliffhangers ever, leaving Severide (Taylor Kinney), Cruz (Joe Minoso), Capp (Randy Flagler) and Tony (Anthony Ferraris) trapped in a sinking boat as the rest of 51 watches from the shore in horror.
There are no spoiler alerts needed as photographer, Grace Pisula captures the feel of Season 10’s first day of filming.
Season 10 will bring two special events. Showrunner, Derek Haas hinted they expect to have a crossover episode this season. Traditionally, it has been the second episode in the season.
In a crossover there is one theme that carries into three big episodes with the cast from all three shows represented in all three hours.
Additionally, this season’s fifth episode will mark Chicago Fire‘s 200th episode. There is no doubt we can expect that episode to be a special treat.
As confirmed by NBC, the Dick Wolf, One Chicago series will kick off their season premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, keeping their primetime #1 foothold for the night with Chicago Med at 8/7c, Chicago Fire at 9/8c, and Chicago P.D. at 10/9c.
