DNCC to host first-ever Creator Platform

The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) has introduced a groundbreaking initiative for the 2024 convention: the first-ever Creator Platform.

This new platform, located directly on the convention floor, is designed to give content creators unparalleled access to the event, similar to what major television networks enjoy. Creators will be able to capture 360-degree content, conduct interviews with delegates and key Democratic figures, and share the experience with their audiences in real-time.

According to DNCC Executive Director Alex Hornbrook, this initiative is part of a broader effort to engage with Americans through evolving media platforms. The convention’s energy will be captured and broadcast by these creators, building momentum for the Harris-Walz ticket.

“As the media landscape continues evolving, we’re building a convention that meets Americans where they are by giving content creators a front-row seat to history,” noted Hornbrook. “The energy and enthusiasm inside of our convention hall will be electric, and by granting content creators access to capture the convention experience up close, we’re going to harness that energy, bring it out to the American people, and turn it back into momentum for the Harris-Walz ticket.”

Houston-based Content creator Olivia Julianna, who will be covering the event, highlighted the importance of this initiative, emphasizing its role in engaging grassroots support for the Democratic ticket.

“This election is about fighting for a future where everyone can get ahead and that starts with letting the American people take part in this critical part of the democratic process,” said Julianna. “There’s a groundswell of grassroots support building behind the Harris-Walz ticket, and I’m excited to experience it up close during the convention and bring it out to viewers across the country.”
