8th Street Productions director Tessa Greenberg has teamed up with Digitas Chicago to create the latest Kinder Bueno commercial. Known for her ability to put real people at ease in front of the camera and extract genuine moments, Tessa brings her unique touch to this campaign.
If you’re not familiar, Kinder Bueno is a chocolate biscuit and wafer confection made by Italian confectionery maker Ferrero. Part of the Kinder Chocolate brand line, Kinder Bueno is a hazelnut-cream-filled wafer covered in milk chocolate and a dark chocolate drizzle. Kinder Bueno was launched in 1990 and is available in 60 countries.
“Working on the Kinder Bueno campaign with 8th Street and Digitas was the kind of delightful on-set experience that a director hopes to have on every job. The amount of creative trust and enthusiasm that was established made the experience really feel like we were a bunch of kids just eating candy on camera, and talking about how much we loved it! 10/10 can’t wait to team up with these folks again. Chocolate or not,” said Greenberg.
The new creative features a variety of Gen Zers and millennials sitting comfortably on a couch while enjoying the hazelnut flavor of the Kinder Bueno wafer. The 15-second spot ends with “Life is Bueno.” Watch below:
Tessa honed her comedic filmmaking sensibilities while working for the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and has directed commercials for Universal Studios Theme Parks, Fresca, Heinz, Flonase, and LEGO, among others.
In addition to the 15, there are a series of 6-second spots running as well on social media channels.
