This year, DDB Chicago has emerged as the Gerety 2023 Global Agency of the Year, a prestigious honor in the industry. This accolade is awarded based on the highest combined score from points given to Shortlist, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Grand Prix, and Agency of the Year by country awards.
DDB Chicago’s remarkable achievement in securing this title was fueled by their exceptional work with brands like Twix, Coors Light, and Skittles. They clinched one Grand Prix, three Gold, five Silver, and one Bronze award for campaigns like “Bears for Twix,” “Chillboards for Coors Light,” and “Apologize the Rainbow for Skittles.”
Rodrigo Jatene, Chief Creative Officer at DDB Chicago, expressed his pride in the team’s accomplishments. DDB Network Named Global Network of the Year
In addition to DDB Chicago’s success, the DDB Network was recognized as the Global Network of the Year. The network garnered an impressive tally of 1 Grand Prix, 6 Gold, 9 Silver, 3 Bronze, and 10 Shortlist awards. Winning agencies contributing to this remarkable achievement included Alma DDB, DDB Group Germany, DDB Italy, DDB Romania, DDB Warszawa, DDB Wien, NORD DDB Copenhagen, and NORD DDB Helsinki.
Marty O’Halloran, Global CEO of DDB Worldwide, expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating, “Being named both Agency and Network of the Year is an honor and a true testament to the quality and consistency of the work, and the people behind the work.”
Omnicom Recognized as Holding Company of the Year
Omnicom, the parent company of DDB, BBDO, and TBWA Network agencies, was bestowed with the Holding Company of the Year award. Winning agencies from 15 countries across the Omnicom network contributed to this achievement.
John Wren, Chairman and CEO of Omnicom, commented on the company’s legacy and commitment to creativity. “Omnicom was founded by creatives, so it’s truly rewarding to see our legacy as the most creative company in the world continuing to be validated decades later,” he said.
