Colonie, SEED win big at Telly Awards for Bread Financial

Bread Financial’s Super Bowl spot for the NFL Extra Points Credit Card series, took home several awards at the 45th Annual Telly Awards.

The campaign, created by Publicis Hawkeye, recognized for its outstanding work in the Banking & Financial Services category, secured Gold, while also earning Silver in both the Sports and Celebrities categories.

Directed by Greg Popp of SEED Media Arts, the ‘NFL Extra Points’ spots captivated audiences with lighthearted stories featuring Kansas City Chief’s star, Mr. Taylor Swift himself Travis Kelce and formeer star RGIII.

The spot highlighted the benefits of the Extra Points credit card. Popp’s expertise in creating comedic spots, particularly featuring sports icons, made him the perfect choice to bring Kelce and RG3 to life on screen. Watch below:

The vision for the campaign was driven by Jenn Bell, former VP/GCD at Hawkeye, who presented an ambitious concept that was executed flawlessly at the iconic Arrowhead Stadium. Executive Producer Tom Scudder, along with the Hawkeye team, collaborated closely with Popp to capture the essence of the campaign.

Post-production work, crucial to the campaign’s success, was expertly handled by The Colonie. Editors Bob Ackerman, Addy Bieniarz, and Joe Clear seamlessly blended footage from Kansas City with their work in Chicago, while the VFX team, led by Senior VFX Artist Tom Dernulc, brought the stadium scenes to life. Additionally, the motion design team, under the guidance of Creative Director Jennifer Moody, crafted stunning animated sequences tailored to each featured team.

Colonie Partner Bob Ackerman expressed pride in the team effort, highlighting the seamless collaboration between SEED, Hawkeye, and The Colonie. He commended the dedication and creativity of all involved parties, stating, “It’s no surprise this campaign is being recognized. It deserves it.”
