Keep your light sabers cautiously at half mast.

According to ComicBookMovie.com, there will indeed be a Star Wars: Episode IX panel during the 2019 Star Wars Celebration at McCormick Place next month.

The news was officially announced on the latest edition of the Star Wars Show, where it was confirmed that director J.J. Abrams and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy would take the stage on April 12 to field questions about the long-awaited final installment in the Skywalker Saga.

The Star Wars Show had a few more details on Wednesday. “Episode IX is coming out at the end of this year, and wouldn’t you know it, Star Wars: Episode IX is getting its very own panel at during Star Wars Celebration 2019,” The Star Wars Show co-host Anthony Carboni said in the latest episode.

Co-host Andi Gutierrez described the panel as “full of surprises and special guests, it will be sure to keep your imagination buzzing for the rest of the event.”

STAR WARS CELEBRATION CHICAGO 2019 | TRAILER

The franchise got off to a rousing start withh JJ Abrams’ The Force Awakens (2015). But then, Kennedy and the franchise took a bit of a (deserved?) beating after Rian Johnson’s controversial Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017). There was the ridiculous running out of fuel in space, the bad mom jokes, Leia surviving in space, no payoff to Snoke, Rey’s change of heart toward Kylo Ren, the lame reveal of Rey’s parents.

Oh, and the really unnecessary death of Luke Skywalker.

This was all followed by the underwhelming performance of Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Hopes and anticipation are high for this one. Chances are fairly good that the first trailer will drop here, but it’s not 100%. At the very least, we should get a title reveal during or before the panel.

The Star Wars Celebration Chicago will take place April 11-15 at McCormick Place.
