This week’s new episode of Chicago P.D. titled Home Safe begins the second half of Season 9 airing Wednesday, January 5 at 9 PM CST on NBC 5.
This episode marks their 2022 premiere date.
In the promo for the premiere episode, Burgess feels it is time to set some boundaries with Ruzek to help protect Makayla.

The team searches for a missing child in what turns out to be a very complicated case; Burgess and Ruzek are in for a shock when someone from Makayla’s past comes forward.
