Mayor Lori Lightfoot has taken on the serious roll of protecting the citizens of Chicago from the spread of the coronavirus. She’s been driving a firm message for everyone to stay at home and they are poking back.
Instagram has gone viral with memes of Mayor Lightfoot in the roll of protecting the city, and the word is Lightfoot approves.
“I’ve enjoyed them,” Lightfoot said goodnaturedly.
The mayor joined in with her own witty new PSA seen here. “We need to have a sense of balance, and humor is part of it.”
Chicago agrees.
