Chi Comedy Fest to screen ‘Waikiki PD’ at March show

Aaward-winning filmmaker, Jeff Orig, wrote, directed, edited, and produced his first feature film, Waikiki PD, which was just selected for the Chicago Comedy Film Festival. A Creative Lab Hawai’i graduate fellow who participated in the WebSeries Immersive and Motion Picture Immersive program, Orig was mentored by Emmy and Peabody Award-winning Executive Producer Bernie Su while developing the project.

Creative Lab Hawaii is a State of Hawai’i, DBEDT/Creative Industries Division program.

This 100% Hawai’i-made film is a “mockumentary” in the style of The Office that chronicles the brave heroes of Waikiki’s Police Dept.

Waikiki PD is a semi-scripted motion picture in which some of Hawai’i’s best comedic improvisers, Jose Ver, Marni Ramirez, and Ryan Okinaka, collaborated in creating the characters and dialogue of the story.
