Burrell wins launch of Kyrie Irving’s shoe line

Chicago finally has a basketball shoe account! Burrell Communications Group kicks off 2024 with a significant victory by winning the ANTA Sports business. ANTA Sports, a leading global sportswear brand, has entrusted Burrell with overseeing the national launch of NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving’s new signature shoe line and collection.

Founded in 1991, ANTA Sports has been at the forefront of designing, developing, producing, and marketing sports equipment, including footwear, apparel, and accessories. With Kyrie Irving, NBA All-Star from the Dallas Mavericks, serving as its chief creative officer, ANTA is poised to make a splash in the American market.

Burrell’s mandate includes executing the U.S. rollout of Irving’s signature ANTA KAI 1 shoe line and accompanying collection. Leveraging its strategic creative, media, experiential, social, and public relations expertise, Burrell aims to propel the brand, boost awareness, and drive sales.

The multi-platform campaign is set to commence in Q1 of this year, highlighting Irving’s collaboration with ANTA, which extends beyond footwear to include apparel.

Tara DeVeaux, CEO of Burrell Communications Group, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership with ANTA, stating, “We are tremendously energized and excited about being chosen to partner with the ANTA brand and Irving family to bring ANTA to the U.S.”
