Chicago’s advertising and production community will gather once again later this month as AICP Midwest brings back its long-running Meet.Drink.Talk networking event on Thursday, May 28 at Tunnel in River North.
Running from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., the annual mixer has become a staple for Midwest agency creatives, producers, directors, editors, post artists, crew members, and commercial production professionals looking to reconnect outside the office and set environment.
Held at Tunnel, located at 151 W. Kinzie St., the event is free for Chicago agencies, AICP Midwest members and their guests, associate members, sponsors, and crew. Non-member tickets are available for $100. Appetizers and beverages will be served throughout the evening.
The event has become one of the region’s more consistent industry gatherings, bringing together professionals from across advertising, production, postproduction, and branded content under one roof in a more relaxed social setting.
At last year’s event, Midwest Regional Director Lisa Masseur of Tessa Films summed up the atmosphere to Reel Chicago, “Look at this crowd! It’s crazy here tonight.”
Tom Duff, President of Optimus and a longtime supporter of the gathering, added, “It’s springtime in Chicago! Can’t you just feel it? I think that’s what brought everyone out tonight. What a great energy in this room.”
Meet.Drink.Talk is organized by AICP Midwest, the regional chapter representing independent commercial production companies and postproduction houses across the Midwest advertising industry.
The May 28 event continues a tradition that has moved through some of Chicago’s best-known nightlife venues over the years while remaining focused on strengthening connections within the city’s creative production community.
