LaRoyce Hawkins, one of the original faces of NBC’s Chicago P.D., is set to leave the series during its upcoming 14th season.

According to sources, Hawkins will remain in the Chicago area working on his passion projects.

Hawkins has played Officer Kevin Atwater since the Dick Wolf drama launched in 2014, becoming one of the longest-running cast members in the One Chicago universe. His exit is expected early in the new season, though details on how Atwater will be written out are being kept under wraps.

Over the years, Hawkins has also appeared as Atwater in crossover episodes with Chicago Fire and Chicago Med, making him a familiar presence across NBC’s Wednesday night franchise.

Beyond Chicago P.D., Hawkins’ credits include Marvel and Disney+’s Ironheart, Starz’s Power Book IV: Force and HBO’s Ballers.
