The Chicago 48 Hour Film Project premiere screenings will return to the Music Box Theatre September 22nd through September 25th.

The screenings spotlight 45 short films completed in only 48 hours during this past August 23rd competition weekend. Filmmakers of all ages, skill and experiences raced to complete their entries within the 48-hour deadline.

“We’re extremely excited to be screening again at the Music Box Theatre for our 15th Anniversary during their 90th Anniversary.” said Jerry Vasilatos, producer of the Chicago 48 Hour Film Project. “It’s so gratifying to our filmmakers to be able to share their work on the big screen with Chicago audiences.”

A filmmaker himself, Vasilatos also notes that last year’s “Best Film” winner made it to the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner, marking the second year in a row that a 48 Hour Film Project team has earned the honor.

“I’m hoping in 2019 we can witness a threepeat!” he adds.
