Yelland’s inspirational doc screens on cable

RICHARD YELLAND of Dictionary Films, produced a 22-minute documentary “Floating: The Nathan Gocke Story.” It details Gocke’s 2008 surfing accident that left him paralyzed from the chest up, and the intensive rehab he went through, working toward the goal of one day surfing again.

Morgan Spurlock and Jeremy Chilnick of Warrior Poets are executive producers, Curtis Birch producer.

With music by Bright Eyes, Sigur Ros, Bon Iver, Fanfarlo, Animal Collective, Moonlit Sailor, Bad Veins, David Kilgour and Damien Jurado.

Life Rolls On Foundation, a division of the Christopher and Dana Reeves Foundation, provided fiscal support.

“Floating” screens on Fuel TV, July 15 at 5 p.m. and Aug. 1 at midnight. It’s currently on a limited Academy Award-qualifying theatrical run. See
