Who says movie makeup isn’t magic?

Handsome, likeable Rob Lowe, who stars in NBC’s Parks and Recreation, looks eerily like accused Bolingbrook wife killer Drew Peterson in the Lifetime move, Untouchable, now in production in Los Angeles.

It takes the makeup and hair departments nine hours to transform 47-year old Lowe into 57-year old Peterson, People magazine reports.

As every Chicagoan knows, Peterson is in prison for allegedly killing his third wife, Kathleen Savio, whose body was found in a bathtub in her home.  He is also suspected of killing his fourth and much younger wife, Stacy, who disappeared without a trace in October, 2007.

Untouchable, written by Teena Booth, is being directed by Mikael Salomon, (The Abyss), who was DP on Chicago-shot Backdraft.  It also stars Kaley Cuoco (Killer Movie) as Stacy Peterson.

Tarra D. Day (I am Number Four) and K.G. Ramsey (Ocean’s Twelve) are the makeup and hair department heads, respectively.

Producers are Peace On Productions and Silver Screen Pictures. Release is set for early 2012.
