Apparently, even the wildlife has had enough of distracted drivers. WeatherTech and Cramer-Krasselt (C-K) are heading into fall with “Friendly Intervention,” a new campaign that recruits a raccoon, skunk, moose, deer and one particularly opinionated bear to teach drivers a few lessons about safety – and protecting their vehicles.
The campaign features two 30-second spots that give WeatherTech’s normally practical product messaging a stranger, funnier spin.
In “Friendly Intervention,” a group of woodland creatures confronts a driver over something they understandably take pretty personally: people staring at their phones behind the wheel. A raccoon, skunk, moose, and deer stage an intervention for the distracted driver, ultimately suggesting a safer and more convenient home for his phone — WeatherTech’s CupFone.
It’s essentially roadside advice from the animals most likely to wind up on the wrong end of distracted driving. Watch below:
The second spot, “The Bear,” finds a mountain biker loading his bike into the bed of his truck without a WeatherTech ImpactLiner. Enter a seemingly friendly bear who, besides being a truck enthusiast, would like a word.
The bear explains the benefits of protecting the truck bed, then offers one more piece of practical advice. No matter how charming the conversation may be, getting comfortable around a bear is probably not a great idea.

“Our products are designed to solve everyday problems, whether that’s finding a convenient place for your phone or protecting your truck from the wear and tear of everything you put it through,” said Fíona Noone, Director of Marketing at WeatherTech. “Cramer-Krasselt helped us bring those situations to life with humor, giving audiences a chance to see a more playful side of WeatherTech while highlighting the American-made quality we’re known for.”
Brian Neinhaus, Managing Director at Cramer-Krasselt, shared the campaign finds humor in demonstrating products that solve very real problems. “This campaign brings together smart, entertaining storytelling with products that solve real problems – from keeping your phone safely in place while driving to protecting your truck,” Neinhaus said. “And if we can help a few woodland friends stay out of harm’s way along the way, even better.”
“Friendly Intervention” launches across broadcast, network, streaming and audio, with Cramer-Krasselt also handling media for the brand. And really, if a raccoon, a skunk, a moose and a deer all sit you down for an intervention, maybe it’s time to put the phone away.
The campaign continues the relationship between WeatherTech and C-K following Father’s Day and summer work released earlier this year.
