Vitamin and Lift merger increases capabilities

Filmworkers Club’s two four-year old affiliates — hybrid production studio Vitamin and Lift Motion graphics — are now one, having been merged under the Vitamin banner and the direction of Vitamin creative director Danny Delpurgatorio.

Vitamin’s new combined staff of nine includes executive producer Mary O’Gara, senior producer Larissa Shames, two art directors, two 3D artists, two motion graphics designers and Delpurgatorio.

The merger offers “concept-through-delivery services under one roof” and also will make it easier for Vitamin to tap into the high end post services offered by Filmworkers,” says Delpurgatorio, who celebrates his first year with the company this month. Previously, he was with Radium of Dallas.

The revised company is located in 3,000-sq. ft. of space that is currently being remodeled to incorporate an additional room for the artists. The two companies previously had been situated on two floors in Filmmakers’ River North building.

Vitamin is very busy, Delpurgatorio reports, with live action spots containing 3D design portions for Clear Network, and “a lot of 2D and 3D animations for BBDO, Downtown Partners and Y&R.”

Designer Jason White, who started Lift for Filmworkers, recently resigned and will start his own company, with two partners, specializing in high-end CG content. It will open later this month.

Vitamin is at 232 E. Ohio; phone 312/664-9333. See
