Creative editor Nikki Vapensky recently joined post house Hootenanny after 18 years with Whitehouse Post, saying she was “ready to move into a different style of company,” adding, “and I’ve always admired Liz Tate and the fact that this is a woman-owned company.”

Vapensky’s body of work includes commercials for McDonald’s, Allstate, Walmart, Disney, and Jello’s “Delightfully Honest” campaign for Leo Burnett.

The Chicagoland native started her career at the Daily Planet after graduating from Ball State University with a degree in telecommunications and a minor in psychology. She was an assistant editor for three years before being promoted to editor.

“Nikki’s skill set is a perfect fit for Hootenanny,” says owner / editor Tate. “Her playful creativity shows in her editing. We’re excited to bring her on board the Hootenanny staff.”

Vapensky works alongside Hootenanny editors Tate, Graham Metzger, Sean Halvorsen and Hannah Stephans and is produced by executive producer Don Avila and associate producer Samm Smith.

In her spare time, she is an avid Ultra Runner and enjoys hitting the trails wherever and whenever she can, especially in the canyons and mountains out West.

Hootenanny is located at 230 E. Ohio, phone 312/266-0777.
