Van of visiting band vandalized during stop here

Thieves broke into the van of Saint Motel while the emerging indie-pop band from L.A. was taping an in-studio performance at JBTV, during their three week tour of the U.S.

On Oct. 18, sometime between 1:30-4 p.m. the thieves smashed one of the van’s windows and stole an electric bass, an acoustic guitar, iPods, a laptop, food and one of the members’ dirty laundry.

“They didn’t get our main equipment, which is the life blood of the band,” said lead singer A/J Jackson. “We are planning on performing vigilante justice on those involved but for now we just want to rock CMJ.”

Luckily, police obtained the thieves’ license plates when they reviewed tapes from surveillance cameras.

If you have any information that could lead to the recovery of the stolen equipment,
