UnchainedTV’s Kale Krew chomps into Chicago’s Vegan scene

Kale Krew

UnchainedTV is launching a new series, Kale Krew, which takes viewers on a culinary adventure through Chicago’s vibrant vegan food scene.

Kale Krew demonstrates that the plant-based lifestyle is not limited to major cities like New York, LA, London, or Berlin. The show highlights how veganism is spreading across America and beyond, challenging the outdated notion of limited vegan options.

The show is hosted by Nemanja Golubovic, CEO and founder of the popular vegan restaurant chain Kale My Name, and social media influencer Tamika Price, founder of Plant Based Tamika. Together, they bring humor and expertise to exploring Chicago’s most innovative and popular plant-based restaurants.

Originating from Montenegro, Nemanja’s diverse experiences have shaped his unique menu at Kale My Name. He is also a judge on The Blox on Amazon Prime.

After transitioning to a plant-based diet inspired by the documentary What The Health, Tamika saw significant health improvements. With over 100K followers, she is passionate about promoting the benefits of plant-based living.

Her work has been featured on The Rachael Ray Show, WGN, NBC, ABC, and in American Express commercials.

Kale Krew takes a big bite out of Chicago’s dynamic vegan dining landscape, featuring top plant-based restaurants such as:

  • Kale My Name: Nemanja’s own comfort food chain known for its eclectic menu inspired by his Montenegrin roots.
  • Can’t Believe It’s Not Meat: Celebrated for its alt-protein dishes.
  • Spirit Elephant: A beloved vegan dining spot.
  • Alice and Friends Vegan Kitchen: Known for its creative vegan cuisine.

The series kicks off with a visit to Chicago’s XMarket Food Hall, home to six exceptional vegan eateries: Kale My Name, 2D Restaurant, El Hongo Magico, Chicago Not Dog, Veganiano, and Bloom Sushi Counter. The food hall also features a full-service bar and a plant-based supermarket, offering a comprehensive vegan experience.
