Tom Browning named President of JLB + Partners

Advertising agency veteran Tom Browning has become the new President of Jones Lundin Beals + Partners (JLB + Partners), an agency search, selection and compensation consulting firm.

Browning will be working towards an ownership position and will report directly to David Beals, who has owned and led the firm since 2000. Beals will remain as CEO and continue to help lead client engagements for two years to facilitate the transition.

“Having worked at advertising agencies throughout my 30-year career, I have first-hand experience of every phase and facet of the agency/client relationship,” said Browning. “I’m excited to work with JLB + Partners’ clients to help them discover new ways to create greater productivity and efficiency in their agency relationships.”

Browning worked the majority of his advertising career at DDB Chicago, serving as Senior Vice President, Global Business Director on worldwide brands including McDonald’s, Anheuser-Busch, S.C. Johnson, Discover Card, Bel Brands, Frito-Lay, Midas International and Emerson Technologies. He has served as a guest lecturer for Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, University of Illinois College of Media, Columbia College and Loyola University Quinlan School of Business and is a former Board of Governors member of the Chicago Council of the American Association of Advertising Agencies. Browning holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
