This year’s 8th Annual Chicago Green Theatre Alliance & League of Chicago Theatre‘s E-waste Drive promises to be bigger and brighter than ever, as the theater and film community come together to combat electronic waste filling our landfills.
Electronics, whether they’re broken, working, or unused, can be donated at the upcoming event for charity rehabilitation and responsible recycling. Thanks to the generous support of Garvey’s Office Products, attendees can rest assured that their electronics will be properly recycled, with proceeds donated to AIDS Foundation Chicago.
In addition to CGTA’s longstanding commitment to sustainability, this year’s event welcomes new partners, including Ecofixr, the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP), Verde Energy Efficiency Experts, Green The Bid, Hype, French Butter and Essanay.
“Ecofixr is excited about the opportunity to help the theater and film community collaborate with their sustainability efforts. We think this is a great chance for the two industries to start an ongoing resource-sharing partnership,” Ellen Domonkos White, CEO/Founder at Ecofixr.
“We are thrilled to be a sponsor of this E-Waste Drive. As advocates for sustainability, we believe in the power of collective action to tackle environmental challenges. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to responsible e-waste disposal and reinforces our dedication to fostering a greener future for all,” Irec Kriske, AICP Green Initiatives Committee / Executive Producer, French Butter
