The Bear S2 is FX’s biggest premiere on Hulu ever

The Bear Season 2 launch breaks all records as FX’s biggest premiere on Hulu ever, according to reports from the Disney-owned brands.

Although specific viewership data was not provided, FX reported a 70% increase in total hours streamed compared to Season 1 over a four-day period.

This achievement is notable considering the show’s release strategy of making all episodes available for streaming at once.

Season 2 of The Bear follows the journey of Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, Sydney Adamu, and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich as they transform their sandwich joint, The Beef, into a Michelin Star-worthy restaurant in Chicago. The season delves into their personal growth and introspection, as they confront their pasts and shape their futures alongside the evolution of the sandwich shop.

The cast of the series includes Jeremy Allen White as Carmy, Ayo Edebiri as Sydney, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richie, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Matty Matheson. Recurring roles are played by Edwin Lee Gibson, Oliver Platt, and newcomer Molly Gordon.

Created by Christopher Storer, known for his work on Ramy and Eighth Grade, the show is executive produced by Storer, Joanna Calo, Hiro Murai, Josh Senior, and Matty Matheson. Tyson Bidner serves as the producer, and FX Productions is involved in its production.

The Bear Season 2 has been praised for its bold and bombastic new direction, reinventing itself and captivating audiences. The entire season is now available for streaming on Hulu.
