The Bear receives nomination for Camera Operator of the Year

Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Jeremy Allen White (FX)

Another nomination for The Bear attests to how well the first season has been received by just about every major awards show. We will tally them all at the end of award season.

The Society of Camera Operators announces the nominees for Camera Operator of the Year in the Film and Television categories, and The Bear camera operator Gary Malouf was nominated for S1 Ep7, The Review, with Chris Dame, “B” Camera Operator.

What makes this episode stand out from all the others? A frantic 20 minute scene, shot in one take. Camera operator Gary Malouf had the daunting task of making that possible.

Here’s a 2 minute appetizer… enjoy!
