The new FX pilot, The Bear, has started filming around the Chicago area. The new Disney-owned series stars former Shameless star, Jeremy Allen White, as a young chef who returns to Chicago to run the family restaurant in the half-hour series.

FX gave the project a pilot order in March. The series comes from Ramy executive producer/director Christopher Storer, Hiro Murai’s (Atlanta) Super Frog, Joanna Calo (Bojack Horseman) and FX Productions.

According to Deadline, Storer will write, direct and executive produce with Murai, Nate Matteson and Calo. Casting was led by Jeanie & Maggie Bacharach.

Filming in Chicago retweeted on their account that the production will be filming by Campbell and Diversey this weekend as well as Mr. Beef on Orleans.
