Talus Films, in partnership with DCASE and Camera Ambassador, presents the 12×12 Showcase on March 7th from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.
12×12 is an original film project developed by newly founded Chicago production company, Talus Films. Throughout 2019, the project explored the richness of storytelling by producing 12 collaborations in 12 months.
The resulting trio of music videos and nine narrative short films span the genres of action/adventure, dark comedy, suspense, drama, sci-fi, satire, and dance.
Inaugural screening
Chicago-based Talus Films is fueled by a vision to become a “hub of artistic collaboration in cinema, music, and production.” Offering pre-production, production, and post-production, the company believes that “no story is too large to create, and no artist too small to support.”
With 12×12, Talus collaborated with over 100 Chicago and Midwest filmmakers, artists, musicians, dancers, and actors amplifying their artistic voices and bringing their stories to life on screen.
The 12×12 Showcase is the culmination of this year-long project where all 12 collaborations will be screened publicly for the first time.
Chicagoans, filmmakers, and movie lovers, are invited to celebrate what true exploration and collaboration can create on March 7th from 1:30pm to 4:30pm at the Claudia Cassidy Theatre in the Chicago Cultural Center. For additional information, click here.
