Talent agents, casting directors urge actors to get online and benefit from Breakdown Express

When Claire Simon needs to cast roles for “Prison Break,” she doesn’t ask agents to send over headshots.

Instead, she submits the breakdown (roles, gender, character type, etc.) electronically to agents through Breakdown Services. Then she waits for the photos and resumes to come back in her in-box, all sorted by character.

From there, Simon is able to choose the people she wants to see, select times she wants to see them, then electronically send that info back to the agents, who call their clients.

“It’s exactly what we did before, when I would fax a breakdown, then collect all the headshots, then call to schedule,” said Simon. “It’s now just all done by Breakdown Express.”
