SWAAGTV Chicago unveils diverse Black TV for Fall

SWAAGTV, Chicago’s local Black broadcast and streaming television station, is set to launch its highly-anticipated Fall program schedule on October 2.

With nearly three years of broadcasting under its belt, SWAAGTV continues to captivate its 3.5 million audience with a compelling lineup of fresh Black television content, including imported comedy series, drama, thrilling narratives, inspirational stories, and thrilling sports programs.

Founder and CEO of SWAAGTV, Joseph F. Sanchez, has expressed the station’s commitment to serving the Black community in Chicago by providing engaging and diverse content that reflects their interests.

Sanchez is a seasoned media veteran with over 35 years of experience working with prestigious television networks such as NBC, Univision, Clear Channel, PBS Television, Chicago Tribune, and Essence Communications, founded SWAAGTV.

The acronym SWAAGTV stands for “Shows With African American Greatness TV,” and it embodies the station’s mission to be a voice for the local Black community, where they are truly “Seen…Heard…First.”

The Fall Program Lineup

SWAAGTV is thrilled to introduce a diverse range of new shows that cater to a broad spectrum of interests:

VISA ON ARRIVAL (Comedy): A comedy series that navigates the hilarious encounters with VISA officers, ensuring you have your paperwork in order before embarking on international travel.

4TH AND FOREVER (Drama, Sports): An award-winning sports documentary series that delves into predominantly Black High School football programs, known for producing top college and NFL players.

CLINICALLY SPEAKING (Drama): Follow the antics and challenges of a group working in a bustling hospital emergency room.

JUST FRIENDS (Comedy): A humorous take on budding romance complicated by well-intentioned but meddling ex-girlfriends.

LAWD HAVE MERCY (Reality, Comedy): Hosted by Flex Alexander, this variety show explores religion through funny videos and sketches.

THE OLIVE (Drama, Thriller): A gripping drama and thriller series filled with conspiracy, murder, and vengeance, fueled by an old secret.

THIRD AVENUE (Comedy): A comedy series that provides a humorous look into the daily lives of two men and a lady living in a two-bedroom apartment on Third Avenue.

TRANSYLVANIA TV (Animation, Comedy, Puppets): Join Le Shoc the vampire and his monster minions as they operate a quirky Transylvania television station with world domination ambitions.
